Bryce Harper has hit a Home Run in each of his first two at-bats for the Washington Nationals on Opening Day 2013. The MLB season is not even a day old and Harper already leads the league. Below is video of Harper’s first & second Home Runs of the season.
It was quite the Major League Debut for Bryce Harper. The Washington Nationals rookie went 1-3 with a RBI Sac Fly in the 9th that broke a 1-1 tie with the Dodgers. After a ground out to pitcher Chad Billingsley in his first at-bat, and a pop up to left in his second at-bat, Harper blistered a Double off the center field wall in his third at-bat (all the while being mooned by a fan behind him). Later in the game Harper fired a strike from left field to catcher Wilson Ramos, who subsequently dropped the ball, denying Harper his first outfield assist. In the 9th Harper hit a RBI Sac Fly that scored Rick Ankiel with the go ahead run putting Washington up 2-1 at the time. They would go on to lose the game 4-3 following a bullpen meltdown. The Washington Nationals have announced that they will promote Bryce Harper from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday April 28th. He is expected to make his Major League Debut that day when the Nationals take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Harper was hitting .250 with 4 Doubles, 1 Triple, 1 Home Run, and 3 RBI’s at Triple-A Syracuse.

Bryce Harper had his first hitless day on Easter Sunday as he and his Syracuse Chiefs teammates were held to one total hit (a Mark Teahen base hit), by the Scranton Yankees. It was Harper’s first hitless game of the year. Harper will get another crack at Syracuse on Monday.
Bryce Harper went 1-4 with a base hit and a strikeout today against the Rochester Red Wings. It gives him at least one hit in his first two Triple-A ballgames. Harper will get a look at New York Yankees prospect Manny Banuelos tomorrow afternoon as Scranton comes to visit Syracuse.
The Syracuse Chiefs got a burst of offense from it’s newest outfielder Bryce Harper who went 2-4, with a Double and a Stolen Base in his Triple-A debut. Harper hit his double off of Rochester starter P.J. Walters. Harper and the Chiefs will be back in action tomorrow night.
Washington Nationals prospect Bryce Harper broke out of a slump with a 3-4 day in the Arizona Fall League. He had a Double, Home Run and 2 Walks on the day in Scottsdale’s 11-10 win over Phoenix. He raised his batting average to .200 on the Arizona Fall League season.
Bryce Harper got his first hit of the 2011 Arizona Fall League season on Monday getting a single in the 6th inning as part of a 1-3 day with a walk. He also drove in a run and stole two bases. The single broke an 0-15 slump to start the season with the Scottsdale Scorpions.
Bryce Harper’s return to baseball following his minor league season ending hamstring injury is off to a slow start. Harper is 0-8 in two games with the Arizona Fall League’s Scottsdale Scorpions. He has struck out in two of those at-bats. The Arizona Fall League runs through mid November and features some of baseball’s top prospects. It’s where Harper made his professional debut in 2010.
